Biography

Mirte was born in Zierikzee, The Netherlands, and has been educated as a primary school teacher (Pabo, Marnix Academie, Utrecht), a modern dancer (Codarts Dance Academy, Rotterdam), child psychologist (Orthopedagogiek Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam), a classical ballet teacher (Royal Academy of Dance, Koln, London) and trainer in Rhythmical Gymnastics (Koninklijke Nederlandse Gymnastiek Bond).  She also took classes in acting and singing, which she often combined with dance and applies in productions. Mirte worked, performed, followed and taught classes in The Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, United Kingdom, Indonesia, USA, Israel, Romania and Argentina.  At the moment she is most active as a dancer/choreographer with AVIV Dance company and as a primary school and dance teacher.
