Robin van Zutphen
Ballet teacher and choreographer
Robin is a Dutch ballet teacher and choreographer born in Amsterdam. He completed his education at the Jazz show musical department (AHK School of performing Arts) He was a guest student at the Vaganova academy in Russia and Alvin Ailey school in New York.
For two years he worked as a professional dancer at the Introdans dance company in Arnhem, after that he left the Netherlands and moved to Germany. In Germany he danced with the Deutsch Oper Am Rhein in Düsseldorf.
In 2001 Robin studied at the Folkwang Hochschule in Werden from Pina Bausch Tanz Pädagogik and started to teach in Germany and Holland in 2006, 2011 and 2017. Robin was nominated for International Tanzania Solo Festival for his choreography work in Stuttgart.
From 2016 to 2018 he worked with the Dutch National Opera and ballet in several productions made together with Ahmed Joudeh the solo. (One and a million.)
The former principal of the Dutch National Ballet, Alexander Zhembrovsky asked Robin to work for him in his school. Since 2014 Robin is teaching and coaching young talents at the Zhembrovsky Ballet School in Amsterdam.
