Biography

Ma, Ka Yue, Trista is a Film Director, Performer, Visual Artist and Art Director. She focus on explores the possibility of theatrical aesthesis in film. Her video work Nothing’s Gonna Change My World has been awarded the Best Cinematography of 2013’s ‘Fresh Wave Film Awards’ in Hong Kong and been invited for participation in the ‘Tel Aviv International Students’ Film Festival’ and ‘Taiwan’s Hong Kong Week’ in 2014; Fish out of water (2010, director and script writer) was awarded the Best Creativity of 2010’s ‘Fresh Wave Film Awards’ in Hong Kong and selected for screening in America Santa Monica Teen Film Festival 2012 and Clockenflap 2014 in Hong Kong.

Screendance:
A Being Walks Across the Universe (2015, New Work Forum-Screendance) A work in progress video art

Visual Art:
Her White Suns Orbit… (2012, California Mojave Desert) A robotic sculptural installation that spatially visualizes the topography of a journey through measured changes in location and altitude.

Moreover, she has performed in over 20 theatre productions in Hong Kong, including highly acclaimed productions White Blaze of the morning, Western Xia Hotel and Landscape of Ouz, etc.

In 2016, she is participating in two shows: Radiant Vermin (actress and art director) A concise history of future (a programme in New Vision Festival 2016, actress and costume and styling designer).
