Flore “Flo” Olivier-Vinton

After growing up in France, I moved to the United States and developed a creative partnership with my husband over the next twenty years. During the ’90s, I began teaching French through song, expressive movement, and visual arts. I discovered that I had a natural ability to introduce authentic cultural experiences to participants of all ages, engaging all the senses in the learning process. I first remember my own body awakening while studying ballet at age six. As an adult, I deepened my love for movement by exploring diverse dances of the world and innovative modes of expression. These include aerial fabrics, environmental performance, and the Five Rhythms, a meditative dance practice developed by Gabrielle Roth. When leading groups today, I aim to empower others to express themselves in surprisingly new ways.
